MISS A CLASS?
In this tab, you’ll find the answer to the question:
I missed, or am going to miss, a day, activity, or random quiz because of a wedding, job interview, or other. Can I make this up?
No, and this is the explanation.
The gradebook serves as an important guideline and barometer of your investments in the topics we discuss. It will also help you and I to track how often you miss learning time in the course.
You can’t make up missed course work for a day, but you can continue to learn with a good attitude.
Occasional misses are not going to sink you; they will be recorded but I ask you not to panic. Routine misses will negatively affect your grade.
DO YOUR BEST NOT TO MISS ANYTHING FOR WHICH YOU ARE GIVEN ADVANCE NOTICE.
Extenuating long-term circumstances or verifiable emergencies require us to have a discussion.
PLEASE FIND SOMEONE IN THE COURSE TO SHARE INFORMATION WITH. BECAUSE I TEACH FIVE COURSES, I WON’T BE ABLE TO NECESSARILY TELL YOU PRECISELY WHAT WAS COVERED. USE THE WEBSITE AND YOUR FRIEND TO STAY INFORMED.
Finally, if you want to take off a Friday, please don't ask me if anything important will be discussed. I spend a good deal of time preparing for the course; the work I do for you is important.
